SAMSUNG SMART THINGS (CLASSIC) GUIDE

Preface

It's important that you have went through the entirety of the pairing process (pairing remotes, verifying limits, and pairing the shades to the gateway) before you proceed with the Samsung Smart Things (Classic) Integration!

This requires a developer account with SmartThings!

Setup

STEP 1. Log into http://developer.smartthings.com/

STEP 2. Click "My Device Handler".

STEP 3. Click "Create New Device Handler" on the right side of the screen.

STEP 4. Choose "From Code" tab, Copy the code from the "Setup Code" section into the code are.

STEP 5. Click "Create".

STEP 6. After the Device Handler is created, click the "Publish" button.

STEP 7. Click "My Devices" tab.

STEP 8. Click "+New Device".

STEP 9. Populate the necessary fields. Sample picture above.

STEP 10. Click "Create".

STEP 11. You can now select the previously created PowerShades device on the "My Devices" list.

You will still need to edit the Preferences!

STEP 12. Set the APItoken to the one provided.

The shade name MUST match the name of the shade in your PowerShades Dashboard account!

Shade name is case sensitive and must match exactly.
