Preface

It's important that you have went through the entirety of the pairing process (pairing remotes, verifying limits, and pairing the shades to the gateway) before you proceed with ELAN Driver!

Be sure to place the driver inside the folder as any other ELAN drivers.

Supported Features

PoE Shades: PoE Shades can be controlled (requires the motor IP address)
RF Shades: RF Shades are supported through the RF Gateway. Up to 30 shades per gateway (1 way) or 15 shades per gateway (2 way)
Feedback: 2-way feedback to update shade positions if changed outside of ELAN
Dim and Shade Controls: The lighting (dimmer) and shade (latching) controls are both supported.
Event Mapper, Lightning Scheduler, and Alarm Clock
Device Status: Feedback if there is a communication issue

Setup

If you have never "Set Folder" for any driver previously, you will need to go to any add driver node, such as "add new zone controller" and select "search Folder" and select the folder in which the driver is located. This should be the same folder for all your downloaded ELAN drivers. Once this is done, every subsequent controller you log into from that PC will reference that folder.

STEP 1. Launch Configurator via Quick Connect in the Management Cloud Software

STEP 2. Navigate to Lighting

STEP 3. Right click lighting interfaces, and add a new lighting controller - Select PowerShades

STEP 4. Right Click "Lighting Devices (None)" > add new device > Light (Dimmer)

STEP 5. Once added, fill in the 2 tags required:

PoE Shades

IP Address: Enter the IP Address of the shade (can be found via PowerShades Dashboard or PowerShades Config.NET)
Channel : For PoE Shades, enter a 0 here

RF Shades

IP Address:  Enter the IP Address of the RF Gateway  (can be found via PowerShades Dashboard or PowerShades Config.NET)
Channel: Enter the channel number for the shade [1-30] (can be found via PowerShades Dashboard or PowerShades Config.NET)

STEP 6. Create controls for the shades on the appropriate interface
Lighting (Dimmer): Can control each shade with position feedback
Shade (Latching): One way control that has up, down, stop
Light (Toggle): Button that will open or close shade

Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure you've checked the following:
  2. IP Address for Shade or RF Gateway
  3. Channel incorrect for PoE (channel 0) or RF Shade (channel 1-30)
  4. You are trying to use this on an HC controller
3rd Party Driver Support is based on the Linux operating system and as such is only avaiable to SC/G1 controllers
